Ice Cream for Lunch or Breakfast!

My boys loved our Ice Cream for Breakfast that we made awhile back with a cone shaped waffle, fried egg and bacon. We thought it would be fun to make a grilled cheese sandwich with bananas to look like ice cream for lunch!

Ice Cream For Lunch sandwich with bananas

You can make this lunch with any sandwich you like! Be creative and use what you have! You can also use the same idea for breakfast with a waffle and eggs or bananas.

Ice Cream Grilled Cheese Ingredients

  • Bread: we used wheat bread
  • Filling: we used cheese but you can use anything you like,
  • Fruit: banana, and a strawberry.

How To Make Ice Cream For Lunch

  • Cut the corners off of the bread to shape it like a cone.
  • Cut your cheese the same way and place your cheese on the bread and grill it.
  • Place the cone shaped sandwich on the plate.
  • Slice your banana. Pile the slices on the top edge of the bread to look like ice cream.
  • Take a strawberry and cut it to look like a cherry.

That’s it! This is very easy to make and the kids loved it!

Ice Cream For Lunch

We made this cute Ice Cream For Lunch meal with a grilled cheese sandwich and bananas to look like an ice cream cone!
Servings: 1
Prep: 10 minutes
Total: 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • bread 2 slices
  • cheese
  • 1 banana
  • 1 strawberry
  • butter

Instructions

  • We cut the corners off of the bread to shape it like a cone. Save the scraps.
  • We buttered our bread and placed our cheese in between to fit on the bread. Grill it up and place on the plate.
  • Take the crust off of the scraps and pinch off pieces of it to cross on top of the bread. You can skip this, but we thought it looked more like a cone that way.
  • Take 1 banana and slice it. Pile the slices on the top edge of the bread to look like ice cream.
  • Take a strawberry and cut it to look like a cherry.
