Mini Heart Shaped Pizza

This is a fun idea for individual portions and the kids can have fun decorating their own heart shaped pizza all by themselves. The right picture shows the option of using pita bread. Just top with sauce, cheese, whatever other addition toppings you prefer and place in the microwave for 1-1/2 minutes until the cheese is melted. This makes a fun lunch or snack for the kids and they will LOVE it!

Tips and Tricks

  • Pizza Crust – we highly recommend making our easy homemade pizza dough, but buying a premade crust will save you some time. Just cut the premade crust into a heart shape using kitchen scissors. If you make homemade, roll out the dough to your preference making a thick crust or a thin crust heart-shaped pizza.
  • Toppings – feel free to add any desired topping to the pizza instead (or in addition) to the pepperoni. Some options for additional toppings are: black olives, peppers, onions, veggies, sausage, etc…

How To Serve

Top the baked pizza with fresh arugula, chopped herbs or as is. We like to serve this with a side salad like this delicious pomegranate salad. Finish off with a yummy Valentine dessert like a warm and giant Valentine chocolate chip cookie or mini chocolate cheesecakes with an Oreo crust.
