We are SO excited about the play-off game this weekend! We are huge Atlanta Falcons fans! My husband will be in the Georgia dome watching the game while I will be here with other family watching and eating these personal Super Bowl Taco Bowls that we came up with yesterday! You could also make a larger bowl using a large tortilla for sharing, but we like the individual bowls. You can also change up the edible helmets using other colored peppers, etc... for your favorite teams on game day! You will be surprised at how easy this Stadium dip is to make!
Super Bowl Taco Bowls
Azeteca Salad Taco Shells
Refried Beans (heated)
1 Package of Red, Green, Yellow, & Red Peppers
Black Olives (or black beans0
We started out by baking our salad shells according to the package directions using these....
Once the shells are baked spread your refried beans on the bottom and up the sides. We sprinkled cheese on the bottom. We chopped up the different colored peppers and added to the sides to look like a crowd of people. We then added guacamole to the bottom to look like a football field. We put sour cream in a baggie and snipped off the corner. We made the lines on the field. We cut 2 pieces from a red bell pepper for the in zones. We cut pieces from a yellow bell pepper for the goals. We cut a piece of a orange bell pepper for the sign and wrote NFL Superbowl using edible black marker.
We made our little football players by poking tops of olives (Falcons helmets...yay!) and pieces of red peppers (San Fransico helmets..boo!) on top of pretzel sticks. We shaped a football from refried beans and made the sour cream lines using a tooth pick.
Here is a close up of the field....

This is my 9 year old Falcons fan with this edible Super Bowl Taco Bowl!!
This is especially fun for the kids and will get them to try peppers and other foods that might not eat! We hope that you cheer for our Atlanta Falcons on Sunday!:)
Here are some other Fun Food Football Field ideas as well!
