Breast Cancer Awareness Treats...super easy!

We came up with these super easy treats that you can make to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness month!  My next door neighbor Susan Gonzalez is a breast cancer survivor so we made these for her. I asked by boys what they said to her when they walked these over to her house and they said.....we told Mr. Bill (her husband) happy breath cancer..ha!  I felt bad that they didn't know what the pink ribbon meant, but it was a great chance to talk with them about what cancer is. My neighbor Sue is a registered nurse & just came out with a book called 100 Perks of Having Cancer Plus 100 Tips for Surviving it

If you know of anyone battling cancer you will definitely want to check her book out. This is also a great book to guide you in living a healthy life including food, etc... You can purchase her book on Amazon HERE & follow along on Facebook.  She is amazing & we are so lucky to have her as our neighbor!

Breast Cancer Awareness Treats

Kellogg's Rice Krispies Treat Bars
Pillsbury Strawberry Frosting
Pink Sprinkles
Strawberry Laffy Taffy

All you do is frost the rice krispie treat bar with the strawberry frosting.  Then add the pink sprinkles.  Cut off a strip from the strawberry Laffy Taffy using kitchen scissors and roll the strip to the desired length.  Shape into a bow and place it on the top. How easy is that?!

  1. Hi Jill - What a sweet treat and an even sweeter story. I am a "breath cancer survivor and it means a lot for you to teach this kind of kindness to your boys. Would love to have you link up at my BC Pinktastic Party going on through October. Hugs, Holly

  2. Your boys are so cute! Though my mom did die from ovarian cancer at 59, she did survive breast cancer 20 years earlier. I am grateful for that! These look yummy, and simple that!

  3. Thanks for this post about Breast Cancer Awareness, I am a 15 year survivor. Thank you so much for sharing with Full Plate Thursday, and have a great weekend.
