Your kids are going to love this fun Leprechaun Ice Cream for St. Patrick’s Day!
My boys adore ice cream and we like to make fun things out of it. We were grocery shopping a few weeks ago and noticed that our Kroger had colored ice cream cones…so we thought it would be fun to make a Leprechaun with the green cones. Kroger brand makes the colored cones….I am sure there are others out there made by different companies.
Leprechaun Ice Cream Cone Ingredients
- Vanilla Ice Cream
- Green Ice Cream Cones
- Colored Marshmallows
- Chocolate Cookie Icing
- White Heart Candies
- 1 Twizzler String
How To Make Leprechaun Ice Cream Cones
Make a strip around the cone with our chocolate icing and cut a yellow mini marshmallow in a square with our kitchen scissors. Cut through the side and cut out the middle. It will stick back into place. Put the marshmallow (buckle) on the front of the chocolate band and let dry. We used left over heart candies to make a shamrock and attached with frosting.
We lined a pan with aluminum foil and lined up everything to have it ready to go. Scoop out your desired amount of ice cream onto the pan into decent sized balls. Place it in the freezer for about 5 minutes of so to make sure it doesn’t melt. Pop on the hat and add the eyes, nose and mouth. We cut the mini green marshmallow in half for the nose and cut the Twizzler strings for the mouth. Press on the orange mini marshmallows around the face to make his beard. Pop it back in the freezer until ready to use.
Here is my little 5 year old with his yummy Leprechaun Ice Cream!
